Lebanese food in a relaxed, family-style place. Pontstraße 1-3. Mon-Sat 11:30-23:00, closed Sundays.

TAT Gemüsekebab €9.60

Best Döner and Dürüm in Aachen. At Markt 44 and at Elisenbrunnen (Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz 11). Open from 11:00, late on weekends.

Al Triangolo

Small family-run Italian in the old town, Rommelsgasse 2-3. Dinner place. Closed Tuesdays.

Vegetarian? These are your best bets

The recommended places are also the best veg options in town. Choose the Falafel or the Halloumi.

Cheap and quick

Nobis

Aachen's own bakery chain, with branches all over town. Sandwiches, coffee and Printen (the local gingerbread). The café on Münsterplatz sits right by the cathedral.

Subway

You know it. Reliable, cheap, filling.

Bäckerei Moss

Aachen bakery with branches across town. Bread rolls, sandwiches, cakes and coffee; MOSS auf der Hörn on Ahornstr. 42 is near RWTH.
