Good to know

  • Beer gardens are Munich's summer living room. At traditional ones like the Chinesischer Turm in the Englischer Garten, you can bring your own food to the self-service area.
  • Oktoberfest runs from late September to early October. Go on a weekday afternoon if you want a seat.
  • Maxvorstadt is the university district for student pubs and bars. Keep noise down and take your litter with you when hanging out outdoors.
