Housing in Tübingen

Find a room. Know what you are signing.

Start with Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim

You can only apply online. You can apply before you have your admission letter, but send it as soon as you get it. Winter-semester applications open on 1 April and summer-semester applications on 1 October of the year before. Couples and families need one application per adult, and at least one partner must be admitted or enrolled.

Keep a second search running

A residence application is not a booking. Compare shared-flat rooms and private rentals while you wait. Check the address, the landlord or main tenant, the total monthly cost and the contract before paying.

Before you sign

Deposits, running costs, move-in confirmation and scam checks: read the housing guide for Germany before signing.
